BRIEF HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL
Briggs Gate Comprehensive College is a co-educational school that operates day studies system. It came into existence in September 2004 with just junior secondary school one (JSS1) and two (JSS2). Upon inception, it had the objectives of providing a better standard of learning and ensuring that students are properly groomed to meet up with the desired yearnings of parents. It started with five (5) teachers and four contract staffs. By September 2005, the class grew to JSS 3 and the staff strenght also an additional four again, the population which was ten during the first week of resumption has grown to one hundred and twenty students.
The school moved to another apartment from its original Mushin location to Ilupeju that provided more classrooms, spaces for extra curricula activities and more facilities to make learning a lot more conducive and easy.Ever since the school has been growing from strength to strength in term of student’s intakes and staffing to meet up with the increasing demand.
In the month of September 14, 2006 the school gained its approval with Lagos State Ministry of Education to operate as private school. Furthermore by 9th of February 2009, it was given recognition by West African Examinations Council (WAEC) to be presenting candidates for terminal examination i.e. SSCE conducted by the council.
On 23rd of February 2009 the school was given full accreditation by National Examination Council (NECO) to register candidates for examination conducted by the body.

Briggs’ Gate Schools is blessed with experienced teachers who are outstanding and qualified academically and professionally. They are God-fearing in their overall personality make-up and lovers of children! They are diligent in their work and committed to the mission and vision of the school. They have impressive record of achievement and experience.
